"Turkey Property Going From Strength to Strength" According to 'A Place in the Sun' - 08 December, 2010

Top overseas property programme and magazine 'A Place in the Sun' reported on November 29th 2010 that property in Turkey is "going from strength to strength", House Sales Turkey (http://www.housesalesturkey.com/) can reveal. The piece said that the property market's rosy future was due to a combination of a growing tourism sector and a healthy economy.

'A Place in the Sun' has been helping overseas property purchasers find the best property hotspots around the world for the past few years, tipping viewers and readers on the best emerging markets and advising them to avoid those markets set to slump. The property experts at 'A Place in the Sun' are currently favouring real estate in Turkey as one of the best bets around the world. The piece which appeared on the property programme's website www.aplaceinthesun.com explained how Turkey's burgeoning tourism sector is helping to boost property in Turkey: "A growing number of Brits having been holidaying and buying homes in Turkey in the recent years as an alternative to more expensive Eurozone destinations, due to the country's proximity to the UK, warm weather, cheaper property prices and property investment prospects."

It went on to explain that the country's strong economic outlook was also helping bolster real estate in Turkey. The Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) predicts that Turkey's economy will become the 12th largest in the world and that 2010 will see the country enjoy economic growth of 8.2%. The article also stated that some of the most hotly tipped property in Turkey was in Istanbul, saying it was proving to be "more resilient compared to other major cities around the world, despite the global economic meltdown. Long-term prospects for the city's residential property market continue to look positive, with residential demand continuing to outpace supply. It is projected that around 250,000 new homes are required annually in Istanbul over the next five years, and yet less than 200,000 new residential properties are currently being delivered each year."
