House Sales Turkey (http://www.housesalesturkey.com/),
leading property portal for real estate in Turkey, reveals that the number of
quotes for mortgages intended for Turkish
properties has increased steadily over the past year. This news from
mortgage provider Conti indicates an ever-present interest in property in Turkey even given the global downturn, and is
further evidence that there is light at the end of the tunnel for the world's
major real estate markets, including Turkey.
Conti, the specialist mortgage provider, reported that
the past twelve months have seen a steady rise in the number of people
requesting a mortgage quote for a property
in Turkey. May 2010 was one of the busiest months for Turkish mortgage
quotes with twice the average figure of the previous year. The company's
Operations Director Clare Nessling believes that low purchase costs and real
estate taxes mean that mortgage quotes and subsequent property sales in Turkey have
remained buoyant where other countries markets have struggled.
"These
factors, combined with low interest rates and some bargain property prices,
have made Turkey
increasingly attractive, as well as more affordable, for UK buyers |
